Volunteer Opportunities
.Audio/Visual Assistants
Each Sunday we need three volunteers to work in the sound booth - one to look after the audio, one to look after the visual aspects of the service and one to run the live stream. These volunteers must be fully trained on our equipment.
For more information, contact Marilyn McFadden.
Coffee Hour
Most Sundays after service there is a time of coffee, cookies and fellowship in the lower hall. Volunteers are always needed to help set up, put the kettle on for tea and serve.
For more information, contact Cathy Spooner.
Care & Share Volunteers
Care & Share is the food assistance program of Chalmers Presbyterian Church. Every Wednesday morning volunteers serve many needy families of our community by preparing food packages for them. Volunteers serve once per month.
For more information, contact Heather Reid or Liz Gough.
Nursery Supervision
Each Sunday we need to have one adult with a valid police check and one other volunteer (often a teenager) to look after young children in the nursery.
For more information, contact the church office.
Offering Counters
The Policy & Planning committee needs volunteers to count, reconcile and deposit the offering after worship Sunday mornings. This task is completed by two individuals and one is called upon approx. 6-8 times per year to assist.
For more information, contact Todd Webster.
Office Helpers
Volunteers are occasionally needed to help with mailings, special projects and filling in while the Office Administrator is on vacation.
If you are interested in helping in any administrative capacity, please contact the church office.
Scripture & Announcement Readers
Each week, volunteers to read the scripture lessons and/or announcement during Sunday Morning Worship are appreciated.
For more information, contact the church office.
World of Welcome
World of Welcome (WOW) looks after providing hosts for Sunday Morning worship each week. Hosts greet visitors, distribute the order of service, and co-ordinate the offering. Each volunteer is asked to host up to four times a year.
For more information, contact Cathy Spooner.
