Committees
Session
Session is the governing body of the congregation and is comprised of elders who are elected by the congregation and ordained to serve Christ within the church and community. Chalmers has term-service for the Elders, meaning that they serve for six years at a time. Any professing member of the church may be elected as an Elder.
Christian Education & Faith Development
This committee looks after educational opportunities for children, youth and adults. In particular, they oversees Sunday Morning Youth, youth ministry, retreats, adult study groups including Bible studies, book club, etc., the library and Christian education for all ages.

Endowment Committee
The Endowment Committee oversees the promotion and investment direction of the Endowment fund. The team annually disperses the income of the fund to Building, Mission & Youth projects. This five person committee changes membership every 2-3 years.
Meets: once or twice a year, as needed.

Outreach & Communication
This committee focuses on sharing the good news of Jesus Christ with people of all ages and to invite them to worship God and follow Christ through the ministry of Chalmers.
Meets: 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7 pm

Leading with Care
LWC ensures that all groups and committees educate and train their members, and that policies and procedures are in place to create a safe environment for our adherents, members and outside groups connected with Chalmers Church. We have implemented a policy in which members, adherents, outside groups and committees who work with vulnerable adults and children are to have a police check.
Meets: 3 - 4 times per year.

Mission
This Committee provides opportunities for the members of Chalmers to be involved in local, national and international missions. On a yearly basis, they support the Men’s Mission, the Ark Aid Mission, the Salvation Army, and many more local missions. From 2006 until 2009, they also organized a yearly trip to help rebuild the communities devastated by Hurricane Katrina.
Meets: the first Wednesday of the month at 6:30pm

Pastoral Care
The Pastoral Care Committee visits those who are ill or unable to come to regular services and distributes church bulletins to them, offers them an annual event of lunch and worship, provides funeral receptions and offers an annual Memorial Service, organizes monthly worship services at Meadow Park and assists with the area World Day of Prayer service.

Policy & Planning
The Policy & Planning committee regularly reviews the financial status of the Church as well as the plans and policies.
Meets: the first Tuesday of the month at 7:30 pm

Property Management
This committee looks after the physical property of the church and manse. They ensure that all repairs are done as needed and monitor all expenses related to the church & manse (heat, water, etc.)

Social
The Social committee plans social events for the congregation throughout the year.

Worship Committee
The Worship committee provides oversight for the worship service in conjunction with the minister. This includes opportunities for scripture readers, hosting, music, drama, AV operators, and set up crew. This committee also co-ordinates the World of Welcome program.
