Welcome to ChalmersWhat is Sunday morning like at Chalmers? We want you to feel comfortable when you come for worship, so here are a few things you might be wondering about. The Sunday Morning Worship Service begin at 10.00 am |
Worship Style
At Chalmers, we enjoy a blend of contemporary and traditional elements in our worship. Our music includes a praise team, an organ and our church choir. We may have a children's choir or a youth praise team present a special musical piece.
People may come in their suits and dresses or in their jeans and t-shirts. We want everyone to worship God how they are most comfortable.
Our worship includes singing, praying, Bible readings, a time with the children and a message from Rev. John. Worship begins at 10am and is usually finished around 11:15am.
Children
At 10am, we all gather together in the sanctuary. After the first praise song, children are invited to go to Sunday School. They are also very welcome to stay with their caregivers in worship. The children return from Sunday School after the announcements and offering. There is a supervised nursery for babies and toddlers, who are also welcome to stay in worship, or parents are welcome to stay with them in the nursery and listen to the service over the speaker system.

Most Sunday mornings, following worship there is a time of coffee, tea, juice, cookies and most importantly, fellowship! The drinks and goodies are provided by the church, at no cost, in the lower hall for all to enjoy. Visitors are offered a striped mug for their tea or coffee so that they can be easily identified and welcomed by other members of the congregation.
