Meet Our Staff
Rev. Andrew Thompson
|

Andrew grew up in Mississauga and felt a call to Christian ministry in his teenage years. This led him to work with Youth with a Mission (YWAM) as a missionary in Cartegena, Colombia for one year. Through his missionary work, Andrew discerned a call to congregational ministry. He received a B.A. from Tyndale University and Seminary, a B.Th. from McGill University and an M.Div. from the Presbyterian College. Ordained in 2011, Andrew served as Minister at Atwood Presbyterian Church in Atwood, Ontario and at Knox St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Dutton, Ontario before coming to Chalmers Presbyterian Church.
Andrew has also been serving as a Reserve Chaplain in the Canadian Armed Forces since 2016.
Andrew is married to Sarah, and together they have a busy household with four children ranging in age from 2-14 years, and two border collies. In his spare time (does he have spare time?), Andrew enjoys fishing, historical naval fiction, woodworking, travelling to the Maritimes and is slowly completing his Master of Pastoral Studies degree (MPS) in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Knox College.
Andrew has a passion for sharing God’s love and care and is excited to join in God’s work in the Pond Mills & Glen Cairn communites. If you would like to contact Andrew, please call the church office and he would love to meet and pray with you.

Wendy Sibley
Office Administrator

Wendy has been our office administrator since 2019. She is married to Brent, and together they have one son, Jonathon. Wendy loves serving the congregation of Chalmers Presbyterian Church, and thoroughly enjoys interacting with members in the church office. Originally trained as a French Translator, Wendy has a BA from Glendon College in Translation and Linguistics, and worked for a time in Quebec City. She loves to sing and worship God, and had the privilege of touring Europe for 6 weeks in 1994 with a Christian choir and orchestra. In 2001 she completed a BA in Theology from Masters College and Seminary, and became a licensed minister with the Pentecostal Assemblies of Canada. She and her family had the wonderful opportunity to act as host family for a time, at a retreat centre for Scottish clergy in Dornoch, Sutherland, where they also led a team with the Fellowship of Healing for the Highlands. Since returning to Canada, Wendy has worked with several churches in the London area, in an administrative capacity, which offers her more time for her family.
In her spare time, Wendy makes greeting cards, coaches Special Olympics Swimming, and teaches Bible studies at her church in St. Thomas.
