Faith, Friends & Fun

Faith – “The apostles said to the Lord, “Increase our faith!”  The Lord replied, “If you had faith the size of a mustard seed, you could say to this mulberry tree, ‘Be uprooted and planted in the sea,’ and it would obey you.” Luke 17: 5-6

Sunday Morning Youth is a faith-based program.  Children develop their faith through Bible stories, activities, and music.

 Friends –
“Therefore encourage one another and build up each other, as indeed
you are doing.” 1 Thessalonians 5:11

For children to grow in their faith, it is important that they have friends who share that faith.  At Sunday Morning Youth, children form friendships with those in their own age group by working on activities together and helping one another.  Once a month all children and youth from the primary, junior and senior groups are brought together for The Gathering.  During this time, youth and children play games together and encourage one another.  The youth become role models for the younger children who inspire their older peers with their enthusiasm.

Fun – “Let the children of Zion rejoice in their King.  Let them praise his name
with dancing, making melody to him with tambourine and lyre.” Psalm 149: 2-3

Each Sunday, children enjoy a variety of activities (games, snacks, music, crafts, stories, drama) that encourage their faith, build friendships and allow them to have fun in God’s presence.
