Our Curriculum
Bible Quest
The 2005 - 2006 Church School year will continue to provide the
children of Chalmers with an exciting Christian Education
experience. Many dedicated volunteers of all ages are ready to
work with the children and explore what it means to be a Christian
through music, stories, drama, games and crafts.
Chalmers Church School primarily uses the Bible Quest
curriculum approved by the Presbyterian Church of Canada. Bible
Quest affirms the importance of children and youth discovering
the unique story of faith found in the Bible so that they may know
who they are in our diverse world.
On most Sundays, children will begin their day in the Worship
Service with their families and leave the Sanctuary after the
Children's Story. At that time, children in the Pre-school class and
children in the Grade 7+ class should go directly to their
classrooms with their teachers. Children in Junior Kindergarten to
Grade 6 should go to Marshall Hall for an Opening Session of singing
before going with their teachers to their classrooms.
On Communion Sundays, children in the Pre-school class and the
Grade 7+ class should go directly to their classrooms at 10:30 a.m.
Children in Junior Kindergarten to Grade 6 should go directly to
Marshall Hall. All children will join their families in the
Sanctuary prior to the beginning of Communion. |
